PROGRAM DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/h1>

The Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Training Program<\/strong> of the Philippine Academy of Aesthetic Surgery \u2013 Training Management Group (PAAS-TMG)<\/strong> is a four-year structured fellowship program<\/strong> designed to provide progressive, supervised, and competency-based clinical training in cosmetic and aesthetic surgery. This is an accredited training program by the Philippine Federation of Cosmetic Surgeons.<\/b>.<\/p>

The program is divided into two phases. The first two years<\/strong> consist of a structured rotation in the Department of General Surgery<\/strong>, where the fellow acquires the foundational principles of surgical practice, perioperative care, and decision-making. The third and fourth years<\/strong> focus on comprehensive cosmetic surgery training<\/strong>, emphasizing both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures.<\/p>

Throughout the program, the training fellow is given responsibilities and operative privileges commensurate with demonstrated competence, experience, and professional maturity, under the direct supervision of accredited PAAS trainers.<\/p>

GENERAL OBJECTIVE<\/strong><\/h1>

To develop competent, safe, ethical, and compassionate cosmetic surgeons who will practice the art and science of cosmetic surgery in accordance with the standards of the Philippine Academy of Aesthetic Surgery.<\/p>

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/h1>

    To provide training fellows with sound scientific knowledge in the diagnosis, management, and treatment options of cosmetic surgical cases<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    To provide comprehensive training in cosmetic surgical skills and techniques as prescribed by the Philippine Academy of Aesthetic Surgery<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    To familiarize training fellows with clinical and research methodologies, including the writing and presentation of scientific papers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    To instill responsibility, discipline, professionalism, and compassion in the management of cosmetic surgical patients<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    To develop leadership, administrative competence, and ethical decision-making<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    To maintain an optimal environment for teaching and learning in cosmetic surgery<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>

          PROGRAM OUTCOME<\/strong><\/h1>

          At the completion of the four-year fellowship program, the training fellow is expected to meet all requirements set forth by the Philippine Academy of Aesthetic Surgery<\/strong>, qualifying him\/her to take the Certifying Board Examination of the Board of Aesthetic Surgery<\/strong>.<\/p>

            The training fellow must demonstrate competence in the diagnosis, pre-operative and post-operative care of patients undergoing cosmetic surgical procedures involving the:<\/p>
