President’s Welcome Remarks

paas-presidentIn behalf of the Committee on Conventions, it is with great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the 26th Annual Convention of the Philippine Academy of Aesthetic Surgery.  The theme, “To Cut or Not to Cut: Surgical and Medical Options in Modern Day Surgery,”signifies the academy’s vision in adapting with the changing times by featuring the latest in aesthetic surgery and medical aesthetics.

We are honored to have a selection of high caliber international lecturers and experts coming from Korea, Singapore and Vietnam.  Interesting topics have been prepared for you and asides from the lectures, we shall also feature cine clinics of surgeries and live demonstrations of medical and minimally invasive procedures.  To complement, we shall present case discussions of patients with a panel of experts in cosmetic surgery and non-surgical aesthetics.

The advances in clinical aesthetics have made more and more people choose less and less invasive modalities.  Minimally invasive procedures have now become so sophisticated that, done in combination, can almost match results of certain cosmetic surgeries. As aesthetic surgeons, we need to be aware of both these surgical and non-surgical options.

To all the chairs and members of the organizing committees, congratulations and thank you for all your hard work!   To all the speakers, panel of experts, and delegates, thank you for being part of this event and making this momentous occasion a success!

Mabuhay ang PAAS!

Sincerely,

ALVIN M. JORGE, MD, FPAAS
